David Moyes Man United debut free on TV: Sky Sports live match lineup

Sky Sports has revealed its live match lineup for the 2013-2014 season and has confirmed that David Moyes's first league game as Manchester United manager will air for free.

In a promotional stunt, Sky Sports 1 will go free on the opening day of this year's Premier League season and Manchester United's trip to Swansea has been picked as the evening kick-off on Saturday, August 17.

Sky's opening weekend of games will also feature the return of Jose Mourinho as Chelsea manager at home to recently promoted Hull City (Sunday 18th) and Manchester City's new boss Manuel Pellegrini's first game in charge at home to Newcastle United (Monday 19th).

Tottenham's trip to Crystal Palace at 1.30pm on Sunday 18th will also be shown.

Outside of the Premier League, the Championship Yorkshire Derby between Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday will also be free for all Sky subscribers on August 17 at 1.30pm.

Sky Sports faces fresh competition with the Premier League coverage this season from BT Sport, who have secured some 'first pick' matches for the forthcoming season.

However, Sky remains confident that its coverage remains the most comprehensive and is the best deal for football fans.

Manchester United celebrate with the trophy

"This is our biggest ever season of Premier League football. When you look at the opening fixtures in black and white, you can see that no other broadcaster comes close to the quality that we offer," said Barney Francis, managing director of Sky Sports.

"Sky Sports will show every match between last season's top four as well as every club at least twice by December. We'll have more than three times as many matches as BT, and our schedule is even stronger than it was last season.

"With the best team of analysts, a fantastic new weekend schedule and coverage from the Football League, UEFA Champions League, La Liga and the SPL, this is the best ever football season for Sky Sports viewers."

Sky's new-look weekend of football will centre around the new pairing of Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville on Monday Night Football and the launch of Saturday Night Football every week at 5.30pm.
