Everbot Connects Gmail and Google Calendar to Evernote for Quick Note Sharing

Everbot Connects Gmail and Google Calendar to Evernote for Quick Note SharingEverbot Connects Gmail and Google Calendar to Evernote for Quick Note Sharing Chrome/Firefox/Safari: Forwarding emails straight into Evernote, or managing meeting notes directly in Evernote is great. But if you're also using Gmail and Calendar for a lot of your tasks then the integration isn't perfect. Everbot is a browser extension that adds a few useful features to both Google apps to integrate them more with Evernote.

Everbot for Google Calendar automatically creates a new Evernote notebook when you create a new meeting on the calendar, and that notebook has a template to take meeting notes in it. The notebook is also automatically shared with everyone invited to the event. Everbot for Gmail adds a few buttons to Gmail so you can instantly tag, add comments, and send your emails over to Evernote. On the flip side, you can also instantly add Evernote notes or notebooks to any email as an attachment.

Nipping At The Heels Of Skype, VoIP Provider Rebtel Passes 20M Users, $80M In Sales And A 2-Year Streak In The Black

logoRebtelCMYKWhen people think of consumer VoIP services, the first name to come to mind for many is Skype. But while Microsoft’s recent acquisition begins to explore a new role as a social advertising network, the world’s number-two VoIP provider, Rebtel, is hoping to gain some new ground. The Stockholm-based company, which has been in operation since 2006, today is announcing that it has passed 20 million active users, with 2012 revenues of $80 million and projected turnover of $100 million for 2013. It has also seen a 250% increase in app downloads and paying users since 2011, with overall users growing currently at a rate of 500,000 each month. The business of over-the-top telephony services is a hot space right now, with companies like Whatsapp nabbing business away from carriers by becoming users’ default mobile messaging service.?As of August 2012 Whatsapp was delivering 10 billion messages per day. And as we’ve said in the past, we’ve heard that its been an?acquisition target for Facebook. Rebtel very much fits into that mold by offering a more cost-effective way of making calls on mobile devices, with a particular emphasis on long-distance calls that can cost a fortune otherwise if made via a mobile network.?”Our average users are consumers with a lot of first- and second-generation immigrants among them,”?Bernstr?m notes, so many of them will want to be calling family abroad. And while we don’t know whether Skype is profitable today (it wasn’t when Microsoft bought it), Rebtel’s CEO?Andreas Bernstr?m tells me that his company is, and has been for the past two years. That’s one reason why Rebtel has yet to raise more money since picking up a Series A round of $20 million from Index Ventures and Benchmark the year it was founded. “We have $10 million in the bank today,” he tells me. That strategy may change in the future, as Rebtel gears up for further expansion. Earlier this month, it announced a new line of business as a white-label VoIP provider, releasing an SDK so that developers can incorporate Rebtel’s VoIP service into their apps. Rebtel is primarily targeting mobile developers with the service, because that is where Rebtel itself focuses most of its business, with apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone (in addition to PCs). As a point of comparison, although Skype makes a big point of?how popular its mobile apps are, Bernstr?m says that about 90%

Print Your Own Wrapping Paper (Instead of Buying It)

Print Your Own Wrapping Paper (Instead of Buying It)There's plenty of stuff you can print for free so you don't have to pay for it, and wrapping paper is one of them. Whether you design it yourself or pick up some awesome designs online, it's a pretty easy way to save money and give awesome, custom-wrapped gifts this holiday.

We've shared a resource or two for this before, but there are a lot out there, and we've also found a few tips that can make the process a lot easier. Creating custom wrapping paper doesn't take much more than laying out a grid of photos or icons on a standard 8.5x11 sheet and printing them out on the thinnest paper you have. Your inkjet will work just fine, or you can even use a laser printer if your design works well in black and white. If you don't want to design your own gift wrap, the internet can help you out. Here are some awesome designs we found online:

Whatever you choose, there are a couple of things you need to remember so your custom wrapping looks as good as possible:

  • While standard 8.5x11 (or larger) sheets will work, thinner paper makes for better wrapping.
  • For larger gifts, use a repeating pattern so you can combine sheets. If your printer can handle larger paper, like legal size or even 13x19, use that instead.
  • When using a single image for your custom gift wrap, figure out its optimal placement before your print or it may wrap awkwardly.

For more tips, Photojojo offers a helpful step-by-step tutorial.

Unsecured Loans Get Instant Loan In Financial Crisis | dasbiber

?Think of your assets first before your needs. For the time being, the folks can be dependent on the prompt service of quick loans for arranging some instant fund. There are some websites which will assist you to process an online loan from selected loan lender by submitting a single application form. We all are well familiar with the gigantic significance of money. However all online payday loan companies are not same and customer care can help you solve many issues. While applying for these kinds of loans, you do not have to go through the lengthy, and often rigorous process of evaluation that you would otherwise go through when applying for a bank loan. Indeed, even the idea of getting a $20,000 unsecured loan with bad credit should not be ruled out. For instance, a mortgage loan, while a significant expenditure, isn't necessarily bad because you're building home equity in the process.

In the event that you have overdrawn your bank checking account, then you have to come up with the money to cover the total amount so you do not get stuck in the downward spiral of over-limit penalty charges. In conclusion, there are some situations payday loans can be a good option to relieve some stress. For example, if one bank advances personal loans to ten people and one person is unable to repay the loan. Anyone who applies for such a loan has a rating of less than 500 out of 850 on his credit score. For example, to get a small unsecured personal loan is not particularly difficult, but when seeking a larger loan of perhaps $25,000, there is a need to do some preparation before applying. So, you have the convenience of lenders, who can take the loan at the interest rate flexibility to complete. He can simply find out numerous options existing on online arena and then, he can see the money credited to him. The length of your income period will also impact how much you are able to borrow.

Applicants won't need collateral but the lender will ask for post-dated checks. To motivate the commercial borrower to stop considering other potential commercial lenders. These loans provide quickest online lending service which avail you can with instantcy and quickness without a mere wastage of time and efforts. One year installment loan lenders are looking towards payday loans customers for additional business. This is because logbook loans are approved without any credit check on the borrower and bad credit people too are approved log book loans in a smooth manner. Here, you can visit us and get applied for quick cash loans no credit check scheme so that you will gain quick sum in the pridefolio.com least possible of time. Of course, not checking credit histories out means even those with the worst histories have a chance to secure the student loan that they need. Preferring for online would be rather best substitute as they afford funds at your request.

Home Loan is definitely beneficial but only when smarter decision is taken. While they make steps to minimize the risks by verifying the ability of the borrower to repay the loan, they do grant loans to bad credit borrowers, as they make most money from sub-prime lending portfolios, since bad credit personal loans have higher interest rates and fees. Some lenders won't even require mundane documents for you to submit, just the filled-up application form, any proof of your employment and a bank account statement. days is all you get to payback all the money that you loaned and that too with a high interest rate. There should be a co-applicant in this process. This concept dates as far back as Shakespearean times, where in one of Shakespeare's plays - A Merchant of Venice - tells the story of Shylock, a Jewish money lender who ends up claiming a pound of flesh from one of his clients who cannot pay him back. While the lender finds to deal with the matter with ease because less documentation is involved here and his money and time for documentation both are saved, the borrower finds it easier to have unsecured loans with low APR and fast service. Exactly why the property market has made such a remarkable recovery so quickly in Florida may be down to the fact that movement to the state by retirees along the east coast means ensures demand for property remains high.

So, before you sign anything, make sure you read it all and understand it. Loans became the answer and it got a lot of people what they want and need in this world. Though taking an unsecured loan does not risk your home or car as a secured loan will, it is still a really big decision that should not be taken lightly. Don't worry about how many payday loans you have.

Dancing rabbis take NBA by storm

Group of rabbis in Houston, Texas sets world of top tier basketball alight with performance which is helping promote image of Judaism far beyond court

VIDEO - In Houston, Texas, a group of dancing rabbis has set the world of top tier NBA basketball alight with a performance which is helping promote the image of Judaism far beyond the court.

?

This YouTube video has become a sensation: A group of Chabad-Lubavitch rabbis paring traditional Hora, Texas square dancing and even 1980s style break-dancing at a Houston Rockets basketball game.

?

Video courtesy of jn1.tv

?

It may look spontaneous to the untrained eye, but these dancing rabbis have put a lot into this year's "Hoops for Hanukkah."

?

Since the video was posted online, the rabbis have been experiencing the powerful after-effects of social networks.

Full story

Members of the Houston Rockets even distributed pictures of the rabbis as they were dancing via Twitter and, then recorded a Hanukkah classic, posting it up on the team's official Facebook page.

?

The rabbis are not letting the experience go to their heads, explaining that all the fun has a serious purpose and that the inspiration comes from God.

?

The rabbis hope the video will promote a positive image of Judaism to the outside world and that Jews will be inspired to bring the rituals of their faith back into their own homes and into their lives.

?

But that serious impact doesn't preclude a little self-indulgent nostalgia in order to bring a little individual flare to the performance.

?

The fact that these top basketball stars are also getting in on the act and promoting the rabbis is impacting people's perceptions of Judaism even after the Hanukkah festival has been all wrapped up.

Ofgem approves ?24 billion grid overhaul

LONDON (Reuters) - British energy regulator Ofgem on Monday approved 24.4 billion pounds ($39.3 billion) of investment by energy companies to overhaul the country's gas and electricity grid, reducing initial overall spending plans by 16 percent to 2021.

Ofgem is responsible for delivering the most cost-effective investments possible as part of plans to modernise Britain's ageing energy networks between 2013-2021.

Energy companies initially proposed spending 45.4 billion pounds on upgrading and maintaining the country's energy networks until 2021, which would be clawed back through higher energy bills.

Ofgem's latest proposal, which aims to curb energy spending plans in order to reduce the impact on utility bills, reduces that figure by 16 percent to 38.2 billion pounds.

Even these scaled-back proposals are expected to add 15.1 pounds a year to consumer bills by 2021, Ofgem said.

Within the 38.2 billion pounds, 24.4 billion will go towards modernising the energy grid, up 2 billion compared with initial proposals made in July following a row over the budget.

Initial proposals made by the regulator were slammed for being too low by the country's biggest energy distributor, National Grid, in July.

The company said in a separate statement on Monday that it would take time to review the updated proposals before deciding on its response.

National Grid is most directly affected by Ofgem's proposals since it makes 60 percent of its operating profit from electricity and gas transmission, Seymour Pierce utilities analyst Angelos Anastasiou said in a note.

"(Ofgem's) proposals are long and complicated but, at first glance, they seem to be pretty similar to the initial proposals (IP) that were issued in July," Anastasiou said.

"A dividend cut and/or fund raising remains a possibility, but the market does not appear to be currently factoring this in," he said, referring to National Grid, which has 75 days to accept or reject Ofgem's proposals.

Fast-rising consumer energy bills have caused anger in Britain among households squeezed by spiralling price rises and muted wage growth. A government advisory group said on Monday that a further 300,000 households risked 'fuel poverty' this winter.

"This provides a framework of strong incentives and penalties to stimulate the innovative and efficient operations of Britain's energy companies," Ofgem's chairman John Mogg said in a statement.

The regulator said its final plans earmarked up to 15.5 billion pounds to upgrade transmission networks for both gas and electricity, assets operated by National Grid.

Of the total investment approved by Ofgem, 4.5 billion pounds will be held back unless energy companies can justify the expenditure over the 2013-2021 investment period, it said.

The 24.4 billion pound price control comes on top of a 7.7 billon pound investment from network charges approved in April for Scotland's network operators.

A study by the Energy Networks Association (ENA) in November found that Britain's power grid faces its biggest challenge since its creation due to a transition being made to a low carbon economy.

The ENA study found that the power grid will need up to 1.6 billion pounds in investment a year to cope with the integration of renewable power capacity such as wind farms.

Syrian VP says neither side can win war

An attack by Syrian fighter jets kills at least 25 in a Damascus mosque, opposition activists say, hours after the deputy foreign minister tells Channel 4 News the government is not targeting civilians. Warning: This report contains some distressing images.

By NBC News wire services

BEIRUT -- Syria's longtime vice president said Sunday that his regime and the rebels are both going down a losing path after 21 months of civil war, a rare admission by a top government official that President Bashar Assad's victory is unlikely.

Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk Shara'a, pictured in this Oct. 18, 2004 file photo of a press conference in London.

The comments by Farouk al-Sharaa came as an Islamist faction of Syrian rebels captured an infantry base in the northern city of Aleppo, and Syrian warplanes blasted a Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus, killing eight people and wounding dozens, activists said.

Sharaa, a Sunni Muslim in a power structure dominated by Assad's Alawite minority, has rarely appeared in public since the revolt erupted in March 2011.?

Al-Sharaa told the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar that neither the rebels nor the Assad regime can "decide the battle militarily." It appeared to be an attempt to show that the rebels are not the solution to the Syria conflict, and their victory might bring chaos to the country.

An attack by Syrian fighter jets kills at least 25 in a Damascus mosque, opposition activists say, hours after the deputy foreign minister tells Channel 4 News the government is not targeting civilians. Warning: This report contains some distressing images.

Balancing that, he said the Assad regime "cannot achieve change."

The solution to the conflict must come from within Syria, al-Sharaa said, adding that any political settlement "must include stopping all types of violence, and the creation of a national unity government with wide powers."

It was far from clear that Sharaa's comments represented the view of the government.

But he is still the most prominent figure to say in public that the crackdown will not win. The paper, which generally takes a pro-Assad line, said Sharaa had been speaking in Damascus.

Excerpts of the interview were posted on Al-Akhbar's English-language website late Sunday. The full interview will be published on Monday, the newspaper said.

War in the capital
In the first phase of the 21-month-old civil war, which has claimed at least 40,000 lives, Damascus was distant from the fighting.

The ancient, once-bustling city has been devastated by war and even health clinics are forced to operate in secrecy to avoid being bombed. NBC's Richard Engel reports.

Rebels have now brought the war to the capital, without succeeding in delivering a fatal blow to the government.?

Assad regime losing control of Syria to rebels, his key ally Russia says

The Assad regime has long rejected Western involvement in the civil war and has called for talks with the opposition. Most rebel groups refuse to meet with Assad, demanding his removal from power before laying down their arms.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta signed an order that sends Patriot missiles to NATO ally Turkey to defend its border with Syria. The US will also deploy about 400 Americans to operate the missiles. NBC's Ayman Mohyeldin reports.

Last week more than 100 nations, including the U.S., recognized the new Syrian opposition council as the legitimate representative of the country, a boost for the opposition forces that have been bombing regime targets in and around Damascus, once an impregnable stronghold of the Assad regime.

The Associated Press and Reuters contributed to this report.
